Welcome to Beckland Dental Kids! Our experienced dentists and team are dedicated to helping children learn good oral habits at a young age that will continue throughout their life. A full range of treatments are available at our office to address your child’s dental needs, such as tooth colored fillings, extractions, crowns, etc. We also love to see children and adults with special needs at our office. We feel these patients need custom dental care to adapt to each individual and their specific healthcare needs.
We have the team skills and abilities to accommodate special needs for special patients.
Beckland Dental Kids provides dental care for children and adults with special needs. We are committed to helping each patient we meet enjoy a healthy and beautiful smile. More importantly, we are aware that there is not a “one size fits all” approach. Dr. Cody Coleman and Dr. Michael Tobler work with families and their loved ones to come up with the best plan to address their specific dental needs. Her staff loves to go over brushing techniques and modified ways to assist your loved one with their daily oral hygiene care.Learn More
What to Expect
Infants & Toddlers
We see children at our office as soon as they get their first tooth or at age 1. We prefer to see your child early to discuss age specific brushing and flossing techniques. Ultimately, we want you to “double check” or brush your child’s teeth for them until the child is 9 years old! We also love to talk with you about your child’s diet and how to avoid cavities (“sugar bug poop”).
Our dentists and team are dedicated to helping children learn good oral habits early. But more importantly, we enjoy doing this in a kid friendly way. We like to use kid friendly terms to explain procedures and show them what we plan to do before we do it! Ultimately, we want children to have the knowledge and tools to take care of their teeth daily at home. Our goal is to prevent more invasive treatment from having to be done.
Dr. Coleman, Dr. Tobler and our team take the time to educate your teenager on the best ways to keep their teeth clean. They have many tools and ideas on how to make teenagers more responsible for their oral heath without making them feel lectured. This is also a time to evaluate Wisdom Teeth and coordinate care with their Orthodontist.
